InterMission

InterMission is a competitive Discord (ex-Twitch chat) game that restarts on the first day of every month. Using simple chat commands such as 'H' for Hunt or 'B' for Bag, players stockpile items with their teams in order to achieve the highest unique item score at the end of the month. The top 3 players on the winning team get permanent medals to show off in future cycles.

Emrayla (developer) and Zimtok5 (co-designer) spent a year creating the world of InterMission, with an aim to promote Twitch chat interactivity and create an engaging experience for Reruns channel viewers. Little did they know their creation would spawn voracious competition and both make and break relationships. Who knew text games could be so brutal?

Formal development of the game ceased at the end of 2018, with development focus being placed on their second, not-yet-announced, interactive Twitch chat game. However, due to the nature of InterMission, it continues to be played monthly by members of the ZIM's Discord in the #InterMission channel.
